Ricola Immunity Package Design

Challenge:

Design packaging for Ricola’s new Immunity line of products.

Solution:

Born out of the insight that consumers sought a natural product that supported immunity and fought fatigue, Ricola wanted to expand its offerings into the growing Immunity category with a new product launch. Leveraging Ricola’s 85+ year history of herbal innovation, e|wmg designed category relevant packaging and in-store POS to support the launch. Leveraging core Ricola equities made the new offering identifiable on shelf to longtime Ricola users shopping in the immunity aisle. New elements, relevant to the immunity category, were also employed, including a white radiant burst that visually speaks to the brand's powerful efficacy by housing the product benefits. Ricola’s signature herbs are shown grouped with the form identifier to emphasize the brand’s natural point of difference and years of herbal expertise. A banding device telegraphs the SKU name and count as well as ingredient and product imagery, making on-shelf flavor identification easy. Ricola launched Immunity nationwide in CVS locations. The new packaging successfully telegraphs the benefits of the new line and communicates the product’s natural point of difference to stand apart, and out, in the crowded Immunity category.

Cemoi Holiday Assortment Packaging

Challenge:

Create multi assortment packaging for the holidays.

Solution:

Cemoi Chocolates charged e|wmg with creating holiday packaging that combined three of their most popular flavors. The packaging needed to feel premium enough to be given as a gift. Festive holiday cues, metallic foil papers and inks were employed, giving the packaging both the premium and holiday personality the client was looking for. Different options were explored, such as the use of die cut windows, for showcasing the chocolate assortment. A product grouping accompanied with delicious flavor cues was finally chosen, visually telegraphing the assortment inside.

Yves Thuries Fondue Packaging

Challenge:

Create premium packaging for Yves Thuries new product launch.

Solution:

Yves Thuries charged e|wmg with creating premium packaging for it’s new microwaveable chocolate fondue. Being a new product, it was important to visually telegraph the benefit and usage clearly. To achieve this, beautiful imagery of fruit dipped in decadent chocolate was utilized letting consumers know exactly what to expect. Because the product was microwaveable, a burst was added to communicate this instant gratification benefit. Golden touches were added to the design architecture conveying the premium nature of the Yves Thuries brand in a new microwaveable form.

Ricola Center Filled Package Redesign

Challenge:

Visually telegraph the center filled line's benefits and point of difference from core Ricola lozenges at shelf.

Solution:

Packaging for Ricola’s line of center filled lozenges weren’t communicating product benefits or points of difference from core Ricola lozenges clearly at shelf. To remedy this, large lozenge images, clearly showing the liquid center, were featured on each sku facing instantly telegraphing the line’s POD from core Ricola lozenges and visually unifying the line. Herb and fruit images, as well as color cues, made on-shelf flavor identification easy. Product benefits are clearly listed on the face panel within a clean, white brand zone which also houses the Ricola logo and Swiss mountain image. All face panel communications are flanked by Ricola’s signature herb images to emphasize the product’s all natural point of difference and speak to the brand’s 85 years of herbal expertise.
