The Idea Adoption Agency

Agency l Keith Manzella
Role l Creative Director
Client l Keith Manzella

Challenge:

Create a self promotion piece that would intrigue recipients to view my new online portfolio.

Solution:

Getting agency heads to review your work can be a daunting task. I knew had to break the clutter and pique interest to garner views of my newly launched online portfolio. I created a faux agency called "The Idea Adoption Agency" whose mission was finding every great idea a good home. Postcards featuring characterized ideas were sent to agency heads with the call to action "Adopt an Idea!" If the recipients visited a URL they were taken to the website of "The Idea Adoption Agency" where they could view the many ideas that were up for adoption. The characterized ideas provided entertainment content by providing funny quips when clicked. If a visitor decided to "adopt" one of the ideas they were taken to the place where great ideas are born daily…my online portfolio. A poster featuring 12 of the characterized ideas was sent as a follow up to the postcard mailings. Response was very positive from the campaign resulting in many lasting contacts being made.
